EIU Faculty and Students Share Expertise, Assume Leadership Roles in the Illinois Consumer Education Association

On October 19, 2012 three EIU SFCS students and one faculty member gave presentations at the Illinois Consumer Education Association (ICEA) conference in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.  Citations for these presentations are as follows:

SFCS students Laura Lucas and Dana Tell accepted one-year terms (2012-2013) as board members of ICEA and faculty member Axton Betz accepted a second one-year term (2012-2013) as President.

Has been selected to Co-chair of I-CHRIE Leadership Academy for next year’s annual conference.  She is helping to develop modules that address teaching and leadership in the Tourism/Hospitality Industry.   Betsy as also been selected as the the new secretary for the CenStates Federation I-CHRIE chapter for three years.
